Why Recommended
If you are coming to Whistler for the skiing and want to stay on the slope in a nice place without paying Whistler village rates then these are the places for you. Creekside is great for families with young kids as the Creekside ski school is located right next door which is definitely convenient. If, however, you think you’ll be in the main village area quite a lot we can likely find something that has a more suitable location.
Legends would be considered a silver property; whereas First Tracks and Evolution would be considered a gold level property.
Location
All 3 hotels are located in Creekside which is the smaller village located 5 mins south of the main village. Legends and First Tracks are located adjacent to the Creekside gondola. Evolution is located across the highway a short walk to the slopes on a pristine lake. It is important to note that although the Creekside base is getting better by the day it still does not offer as many services or restaurants as the main village area. There is a grocery store and liquor store along with a few restaurants and stores but that's about it.
Rooms
Legends is the more value oriented of the two lodges. First Tracks offers larger three bedroom suites with more lavish furnishings including a media room. These properties share a front desk and pool.
There are 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites in both legends and First Tracks. First tracks also has one four bedroom suite. Each unit features a full kitchen and spacious living areas. Daily housekeeping is available at First Tracks, but not at Legends.
Evolution is the newest of these hotels and is very modern in a rustic setting. The units offer a good balance between comfort and style offering open floor plans which create versatile living spaces. There are 1,2 and 3 bedroom units. There is a pool and hottub nestled in the trees and is very private. We would recommend Evolution for couples or groups as all the beds are king bed.
