Shangri-La Vancouver
The Asian based luxury hotel and resort chain has made its first stop in North America in the city of Vancouver. The hotel opened in January of 2009 and features 119 spacious guestrooms with luxurious bedrooms and comfortable sitting/working areas. They have certainly raised the bar in terms of service and the hotel features a fantastic restaurant (Market) located on its top floor. The hotel is priced slightly more than the other Vancouver options, however you do get what you pay for!
The Fairmont Pacific Rim
The Fairmont Pacific Rim, opened its doors February 2010, is positioned in downtown Vancouver adjacent to the Waterfront Hotel. It boasts incredible water views of Coal Harbour and the North Shore mountains. The Pacific Rim is within walking distance to Stanley Park and the shopping and entertainment district. This hotel is a more modern version of the Waterfront Hotel.
