Skiing and Snowboarding

Whistler/Blackcomb has been rated the #1 ski resort in North America time and time again.  There are many reasons for the #1 ratings, but the biggest reason is quite simple: it snows a lot in Whistler. Whistler's average snowfall of 30 feet (9 meters), together with an extensive snowmaking system leads to virtually guaranteed snow conditions throughout the season. In fact Whistler has the longest ski season anywhere as we can ski from mid November until August! The temperatures are also very comfortable hovering around the freezing level in the village and rarely dipping below -10C (14F) up on the mountain.

Whistler is also one of the more modern ski resorts with an extensive high speed lift system. It is the largest ski resort in North America with over 8000 acres of skiable terrain including 200 marked runs, 13 massive alpine bowls and 3 glaciers. It also has North America's longest vertical drop and the longest run is 11Km or 7 miles.

Whistler's terrain has a tremendous amount of variety appealing to skiers & riders of all ability levels. They groom over 100 runs each night and Whistler/Blackcomb is known as the best maintained resort anywhere in the world. Whistler boasts three cutting edge terrain parks.

The resort has been designed very well, so even beginners can get all the way to the top and find perfectly groomed, gentle slopes to get down. Another big advantage of Whistler is that the elevation is quite low (village at 675m or 2200 feet), so altitude sickness is not an issue. This means you'll have plenty of energy to explore all 200+ runs!

The best way to discover Whistler/Blackcomb is by having your VIP guide show you around. We love skiing with our guests and when you book with VIP in a gold or platinum level property you get a free day of ski guiding. We will show you all kinds of places that you might never find on your own and are very good at matching skier's ability levels with suitable terrain.

One of the biggest reasons our guests come time and time again is the quality of the ski school programs and instructors. They will have the time of their lives in ski school and will talk about their experience for months on end. You can check out the various ski school options at ski school.

Whistler's top quality skiing is why all of us at VIP have chosen to live here, so come on out and let us show you why we love it so much!

Enjoy considerable savings on multi-day lift passes purchased before November 15th.

Ski/Board Rentals: We recommend using Summit Ski and Board for your ski/board rental requirements.  We will take you down to the rental store upon arriving in town and help get you sorted.
